We are excited to announce our latest partnership with the Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) to rehabilitate and upgrade the electricity distribution networks in Bishoftu, Suluta, and Debrebirhan.
This partnership is part of the Access to Distributed Electricity and Lighting in Ethiopia (ADELE) project—an impactful initiative aimed at expanding electricity access and improving the reliability of supply for Ethiopian communities.
With over 25 years of experience delivering expert engineering solutions across Africa, Wilkins Engineering is proud to contribute to this transformative national effort. Our scope on this project includes:
- Final design and installation of medium-voltage overhead lines and underground cables
- Installation of new distribution transformers and rehabilitation of existing ones
- Strengthening of distribution infrastructure to improve grid performance and reach
- Support to reduce power interruptions by up to 45%, enabling smoother operations for homes, schools, healthcare centers, and businesses
